The doctoral school has chosen to devote a substantial proportion of its budget to supporting PhD students, especially helping them fund oral presentations at national and/or international level. This support is awarded by the extended Board, which includes PhD student representatives and meets once a month. Requests are examined every month and a budget of €3,000 (adjustments are possible) is allocated every 4 months to meet as many as possible of the applications submitted every year. In order to maintain consistency with the scientific policies of the Research Units that fall within the scope of the ED, they are required to co-fund all funding applications. Priority is given to oral communications (except in some disciplines), at national or international events. The basis of the ED’s participation is €150 for a national event, €300 for a European event and €400 for an international event.
